County of Lake      }      This Indenture, made this tenth day of April in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and Eighty three between Hiram P. Marston of Leadville, County of Lake & State of Colorado of the first part, and H. Arad Marston of Sonnerville[?] in the County of Middlesex & State of Massachusetts of the second part. Witnesseth that the said Hiram P. Marston for and in consideration of one dollar cash in hand and other valuable considerations paid by the said H. Arad Marston at and before the sealing of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted bargained sold & conveyed and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said H. Arad Marston, his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land lying & being in the County of Glynn & State of Georgia Known as Hardscrabble formerly the summer residence of George C. Dent, H.P. Marston, and others, containing one hundred & Fifty acres more or less, bounded on the East by Salt Marsh, South by the middle of O’Niel[?] Creek until within twenty feet of Dr. D.B. Troup formerly Charles Grant Bridge, thence[?] by a line running twenty feet Eastward of a road connecting with the said Bridge until it strikes the public Road, thence by said public Road until it strikes the land of Dr. D.B. Troup formerly of Charles Grant and thence further South by an Old Survey, West by New Survey as described in a deed from Samuel Wright to Thomas M. Freeman North by land of Hugh Fraser Grant formerly Thomas M Freeman Known as Sedge Moore a summer residence the said Northern line commencing at aforesaid creek thence along the middle of a causeway Westerly in a direct line to the Public Road, and in the even of the removal of said Road the same line to be continued to the road as so removed as described in a Deed [illegible] Thomas M. Freeman to Pinkney Huger and recoded in the Clerks office Brunswick Georgia Book K [or R?] folios 230, 231, 232 Sept. 1868 together with all and singular the rights, titles hereditaments and in pursuance to the same belonging or any wise appertaining [illegible] the reversion and reversions, remainder and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof and all the estate right title and interest of the said Hiram P. Marston of, in or to the same or any part or parcel thereof with the appurtenances to have and to hold the said tract of land and all and singular the appurtenances other the premises hereby granted bargained and sold delivered and conveyed

with the medicaments & appurtenances unto the said H. Arad Marston his heirs and assigns to him and their only proper use benefit and behoof forever and for no other use interest or purpose whatsoever and in said Hiram P. Marston for himself and his heirs the said tract of land and premises unto the said H. Arad Marston his heirs and assigns against himself and his heirs shall and will warrant and defend by these presents from and against the claim of any person or persons whatsoever.
          In Witness Whereof the said Hiram P. Marston hath set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year first above.

          I Jas. H. Playter Clerk of the District Court in and for said County in the State aforesaid, do hereby certify that H. P. Marston personally known to me as the person whose name is subscribed to the annexed instrument of writing appeared before me this day in person and acknowledged that he signed, sealed and delivered the said instrument of writing as his free and voluntary act, for the uses and purposed therein set forth.
