in consideration of the sum of three hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said P.M. Nightingale at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged. Hath granted bargained sold aliened revised released conveyed and affirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell alien revise release convey and confirm unto the said P.M. Nightingale and to his heirs and assigns all that certain tract and parcel of land containing two hundred acres situated and being in Glynn County and bounded by lands belonging to Mrs. Ponsell Estates of Butler and DeLorme. The said tract or parcel of land originally granted to Rodney[?] Williams on the 14th day of May in the year of Our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and thirty nine by his Excellency George R. Gilmer then governor of the State of Georgia and was bounded at the time of survey by G??? and vacant land reference to the plat & grant will more fully and at large appear. To Have and to Hold said Tract of parcel of land containing Two Hundred (200) acres [illegible words] the said P.M. Nightingale his heirs and assigns together with all and singular the rights members and appurtenances thereof to the same in any manner belonging to his and their own proper use benefit & behoof forever in fee simple. And the said Louis E.D. DeLorme for himself his heirs executors and administrators the said bargained premises unto the said P.M. Nightingale his heirs and assigns will warrant and forever defend the right and title thereof against themselves and against the claim of all other persons whatever. McIntosh County } This Indenture made this the fifteenth
day of May Eighteen hundred and fifty Eight between W.T. Thorpe assinee[?]
of the aforesaid State on the one part and Saml. H. Harris and Alex
Mitchel Guardian for Henry Todd of the other part. Witnesseth
that the said W.T. Thorpe Assinee[?] for and in consideration of the sum
of Six hundred dollars paid and secured to be paid by the said Saml. H.
Harris and Alex Mitchell guardian for
Henry Todd the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hat granted bargained sold aliened and confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell alien and convey unto the said Samuel H. Harris and Alex Mitchell guardian for Henry Todd their heirs and assigns forever all those tracts or parcel of land situated lying and being in the counties of Wayne and Glynn containing by surveys Two thousand three hundred and seventy eight and a half acres more or less viz: Two tracts purchased from R.L. Morris lying in the county of Glynn and containing by survey fourteen hundred acres granted to Daniel Bell and Jacob Wood for boundaries &c. refer to deed of R.L. Morris baring date of the seventh day of April 1853. Also a tract of land purchased from S. Mango containing by survey two hundred acres more or less granted to Ann Rozar for boundaries &c. refer to deed baring date twenty Feby. 1853. Also a tract of land purchased from Moses S. Harris containing by survey One hundred six and a half acres for boundaries &c. refer to deed baring date nineteenth of April 1854. Said tract of land known as Absalom Bryant's tract. Also that portion of the Monroe[?] Grant lying on the east side of the St. Marys road containing two hundred & twenty five acres purchased from S. Mumford for boundaries &c refer to deed baring date Twenty Second Feby. 1853. Also a tract of land purchased from Moses D. Harris containing by survey two hundred acres more or less known as the James S. Harris tract for boundaries &c refer to deed baring date twenty second Feby. 1853. Also two hundred and fifty acres of land lying in Glynn County known as the Rumph tract for boundaries &c refer to deed of Richd. Ratcliff dated Eight day of June 1841.
To Have and to Hold the said lands and all and every part thereof to them the said Saml. H. Harris and Alex. Mitchel guardian for Henry Todd their heirs and assigns forever and the said W.T. Thorpe assignee for himself his heirs executors and administrators doth hereby covenant and agree to and with the said Saml. H. Harris and Alex Mitchell guardian for Henry Todd their heirs and assigns in manner and form following. That is to say that the said W.T. Thorpe assignee as aforesaid for himself his heirs executors and administrators to and with the said Saml. H. Harris and Alex Mitchell guardian for Henry Todd and their heirs the aforesaid tracts or parcels of land two thousand three hundred and seventy eight and a half acres more or less against the claim of him the said W.T. Thorpe assignee his heirs and assigns and against the claims of all and any person shall and will forever warrant and defend.
In witness whereof the said W.T. Thorpe assignee as aforesaid has hereunto affixed his seal and signed his name the day and year abovementioned.
