The Public Libraries in each county have every newspaper that could be found on microfilm in their respective research departments. You can also order your own copy of newspaper microfilm rolls from the University of Georgia in Athens. What I have done, was under the newspaper title, I put a link for miscellaneous articles. These are articles that were about local people, accidents, marriages, parties, etc. Many newspapers changed names during publication, to keep from having to make web pages for each newspaper that were similar publications, I just combined them (i.e. The Brunswick Call and The Brunswick Times-Call also The Brunswick Times and The Brunswick Times-Advertiser). All obituaries that I have found are listed alphabetically by surname, these include Glynn, Camden, Wayne, Ware, McIntosh, Brantley, and any other obit for persons with ties to these counties. I have searched for many obits, and am finding that I am going back and looking again years later. To avoid this, I have compiled a list of obits that I have not found but have searched for, and why I didn't find them. There are a few Brunswick newspapers that I have found record of but the papers themselves did not survive (unless someone has them in their attic). The Brunswick Herald — Operated by James B. Bingham, originally started in Shelby County, Tennessee as The Bullentin in May 1861. James arrived in Brunswick sometime after the Civil War and before he died on 21 January 1887. His son, Edward Bingham, bought the paper office, located on Monk Street, from the estate. The years of publication are not known. The Seaport Appeal — A weekly publication started by the Nathans family who lived in Quincy, Gadsden, Florida and operated a publishing company. After the head of the family, Isaac Nathans died, the women came to Brunswick and the newspaper was operated by Thomas F. Smith who was listed as a newspaper editor in the 1870 Glynn County census and died on 21 September 1876. His widow, Sarah Frances (Nathans) Smith and her brother James Shields Nathans took over the paper in October of 1877; it became The Brunswick Advertiser & Appeal before Smith's passing and was often referred to as The Brunswick Journal by other publications.
