December 1801 for Martin Palmer who resides in this State a Tract
of Seven Hundred and fifty acres of land bounded S.W. by Lockerman's I[?] & Clark Creek. South by Satilla River, Southwest by
Rudolph's lands, and on all other sides by Surveyed Land.

John Milledge, Governor and Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of
this State and of the Militia thereof.
To all to whom these
presents shall come, Greeting:
Know ye, That in
pursuance[?] of the act for opening the Land Office and by virtue of the
power in me [illegible] I have given and granted and by these presents, in
the name and behalf of the State Do give and grant unto Martin Palmer,
his heirs and assigns for-
ever all that tract of parcel of Land containing Seven
hundred and fifty acres situate, lying and being in the County of Glynn in
the said State, and birthing and bounding South West by Lockerman's and
Clark's Creek, South by Satilla River, Eastwardly by Rudolph's
land, and on other sides by Surveyed lands, having such shape, form and
marks as appear by a plat of the same hereunto annexed, together with all
and singular the rights members and appurtenances thereof, whatsoever to
the said Tract or parcel of land. [illegible] [illegible]
[illegible] appertaining, and also al the estate right [3 illegible words]
and dividend of the State aforesaid, of, in, to, or out of the Same.
To have and to hold the said Tract of parcel of Land and all and singular
the premises aforesaid; with their and every of their rights,
members, and appurtenances, unto the said Martin Palmer his heirs
and assigns, to his and their own proper use and behoof forever in Fee
Simple.
Given under my hand and
the great seal of the said State, this Nineteenth day of November in the
year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and two, and in the twenty
seventh year of American Independence.

This Indenture made the ninth day of April in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and eight, and in the thirty second year of the Independence of the United States of America. Between James Moore Esquire Sheriff of the County of Glynn and State aforesaid of the one part and James Kennedy of the County and State aforesaid, of the other part. Witnesseth, that whereas the said James Moore as Sheriff aforesaid, by virtue of a writ of perci-faceas issued from the Clerk's Office of the County of Glynn and State aforesaid, against one Thomas May, at the suit of Saul Timmons, did levy on a certain tract of Land the property of the said Thomas May, lying on the Turtle river in the County and State aforesaid containing One hundred and fifty acres, bounded southeast by College Creek, North East by James Ratcliffe Lands South west by College Lands, and West North West by unknown lands. And the said James Moore as Sheriff aforesaid
that I David Scarborough of Bullock County for
myself my heirs and assigns authorize constitute and appoint John
Goanthan? of Wayne County and state aforesaid my lawful Attorney to
act for me and in my name to ask, sue, levy, recover and receive all that
part of the undivided Estate of Thomas Parrott of Glynn County
deceased which falleth to me and my wife formerly Elizabeth Parrott
but now Elizabeth Scarborough as heirs to the Estate of the said
deceased in as full an ample a manner as I the said David Scarborough
could do was I personally present, and I do by these presents acquit,
release, and discharge my said attorney from every lawful act done by him
in asking, levying and receiving the above said undivided part of the
Estate of the above said deceased Thomas Parrott.
In witness whereof I the
said David Scarborough do hereunto set my hand and seal this 2nd
day of December 1809. And in the thirty third year of American
Independence.

State of Georgia } Know all men by these presents that I Henry McIntosh of Cumberland Island, "Planter", for and in consideration of the sum of Four hundred & Fifty dollars to me in hand paid by Martin Palmer of Glynn County have bargained sold and delivered, and by these presents do bargain sell and deliver unto the said Martin Palmer One negro man slave called Bob about __________ years of age ___________ To have and to hold the said negro man slave Bob to him the said Martin Palmer his heirs and assigns forever, and said negro I do hereby agree to warrant for me and my heirs against all and every claim and demand whatsoever. ______________ In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal at Brunswick this Thirteenth day of March One Thousand Eight hundred and ten.

Georgia } Whereas Thomas Armstrong of the County of Glynn and State aforesaid by his bond bearing date the ninth day of August One thousand and Eight hundred and Eight stand indebted to Alexander C. Wylly of the County and state aforesaid in the penal sum of Eight Thousand dollars conditioned[?] for the payment of Four Thousand dollars and Whereas the said Thomas Armstrong by a certain indenture of mortgage of equal date for and in consideration of the said sum of money in the said bond recited and to secure the payment of the same granted bargained and sold to the said Alexander C. Wylly certain Negro slaves therein named. Now this Indenture witnesseth that for and in consideration of the said sum of money due and payable by the said bond, and for the further security of the payment of the same, the said Thomas Armstrong hath granted bargained and sold to the said Alexander C. Wylly the following negro slaves to wit Yellow Jim, Allick, Peg, John, Maria, Joe, Dick, and Esther over and above the negro slaves bargained and sold by the Indenture aforesaid, together with the increase of the same, to have and to hold the above named slaves, to him the said Alexander C. Wylly, his heirs, executors, and administrators forever. Now the condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bound Thomas Armstrong, his heirs, executors, or administrators shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid the said sum of money due and payable by the bond aforesaid to the said Alexander C. Wylly, his executors, administrators and assigns, then this obligation to be null and of no effect or otherwise remain in full force and virtue. Witness my hand and seal this twelfth day of March One Thousand Eight hundred and Eleven.

Know all Men by these Presents That I Martin Palmer of the
County of Glynn State of Georgia, for and in consideration of the sum of
Four hundred Dollars to me in hand paid at and before the sealing and
delivery of these presents by Amasa Doud, the Receipt whereof I do
hereby acknowledge have bargained and sold and by these presents do
bargain, sell and deliver unto the said Amasa Doud two Negroes, one
of them is called Bob is a Negro man about Twenty Eight years of
Age, the other a woman about Thirty years called Venus. To
have and to hold the said two Negroes, Bob and Venus unto
the said Amasa Doud her[?] heirs, executors, administrators and
assigns, to his said only proper use and behoof forever and I the said
Martin Palmer, my heirs, Executors, and administrators, the said
bargained Premises unto the said Amasa Doud his Executors,
administrators and assigns, from and against all persons, shall and will
warrant and forever defend by these presents.
In witness whereof I have
hereunto set my hand and seal dated at Brunswick the seventh day of May in
the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight hundred and Eleven, and in the
thirty fifth year of the Independence of the United States of America.

Seventh day of May One Thousand Eight hundred and Eleven. The within Bill of Sale of two Negroes, Bob and Venus from Martin Palmer to Amasa Doud is for money which the said Amasa Doud has this day paid to the Sheriff Mr. Jacob Moore to take up an Execution on this and other property of the said Martin Palmer in favor of Magney[?] Levinson and others to the amount of Three hundred and forty six dollars and two cents. It is meant thus, if the said Martin Palmer do pay to the said Amasa Doud, the sum of Four hundred Dollars on or before the first day of January next, this Bill of sale to be of no effect, if the money is not paid on or before that date the within Bill of sale to stand good and be the property of Amasa Doud his Heirs &c.

Personally appeared before me Isaac Abrahams Clerk, Superior Court Glynn County, John Morgan, who being duly sworn deposeth and saith that he was present and saw Martin Palmer sign the foregoing Bill of sale and condition after expressed, seal and deliver the same to Amasa Doud, as his act and Deed, and that he also saw Jacob Moore and Robert Payne sign their names with this deponent as witness to the same.

Sufficient (Trustworthy[?]) Titles to certain negroes now in the
possession of John G. Snead of St. Simons Island say five or six in
Number with a Transfer of all my claim to Civil Property with the original
Deed of gift to me from my Father for the consideration of Five hundred
Dollars to me in hand paid before the signing and delivery of these
Presents, the Receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge.

George Street have granted bargained and sold, and by these
presents do grant, bargain
and sell unto Mr. James Powell of Glynn County all
my fee simple right, in and to five Negroes namely Jack, Bellue, Tom,
Celia, and Charlotte, Given by General Lachlan McIntosh
by deed of Gift to Mr. Hampten McIntosh and conveyed to me by said
McIntosh on the thirteenth of April 1807, which said Negroes I do
warrant and defend to Fee Simple Right, unto the said James Powell
his heirs and assigns forever for and in consideration of the sum of Eight
hundred Dollars to me secured by notes.
IN witness whereof I the
said George Street have hereunto set my hand and seal at Darien
this 25th day of October 1814.

of September in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred & fifteen Between
John Kemp of the first part and Mathew Carter of the second
part witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in the
consideration of the sum of One hundred Dollars to him in hand paid by the
said party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
and confessed[?]. Hat remised, released & confirmed and by these
presents Doth release, remise, and confirm unto the said party of the
second part (in his actual possession now being) and to his heirs and
assigns forever, all that Tract of Parcel of Land Situate Lying and being
in the County of Glynn and State aforesaid containing two hundred acres on
the Buffalo granted the Thirty first day of December Eighteen hundred and
Eleven, to the Heirs of Moses McKey. Together with all and
singular the Hereditamens[?] and appurtenances thereunto belonging
belonging [sic] or in anywise appertaining and the reversion and
reversions remainder and remainders, rents issues and Profits Thereof and
