Wayne County } This Indenture made and entered into this
the 20th day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight Hundred &
Eighty two. Between Elizabeth D. Hooker of the County and State aforesaid
and William Strickland of the County of Glynn & State aforesaid of the
second part. Witnesseth that the aforesaid Elizabeth D. Hooker of the
first part hath for in consideration of the sum of One Hundred Dollars cash in
hand paid at before the sealing & delivery of these presents--Have bargained
sold & conveyed a certain tract or parcel of Land lying in the 26th Dist. of
Glynn County known as the old Pervis[?] place and bounded as follows on
the East by William Strickland on the north by lands known as Speight
& Hooker and West by Land known as the old Morgan Land & south by
Speight & Hooker containing ninety[?] acres more or less. To have
& to Hold unto the said William Strickland with all improvements and
appurtenances thereto belonging to him his heirs and assigns. I the aforesaid
Elizabeth D. Hooker do warrant and defend the right and title of the
aforesaid tract good[?] against the claims of myself or the claims of any other
person.

County of Glynn } This Indenture made this the 17th day
of January A.D. (1883) Eighteen hundred and Eighty three, between Francis D.
Scarlett as Trustee for his children Annie C. Holt formerly
Scarlett, Bessie F.[?] Smith formerly Scarlett, Mary
T. Barkuloo formerly Scarlett, and Jeannie P. Scarlett of said
County and state of the
first part and Andrew Lamar and Richard Pinkney of said County of the second part. Witnesseth that the said F.D. Scarlett, Guardian as aforesaid with full and ample power of sale given him by the investment creating him guardian and as attorney in fact for his said children has for and in consideration of the sum of Thirty Dollars to him cash in hand paid by the parties of the second part at and before the signing delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted bargained sold and conveyed unto the parties of the second part all that certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the 27th District of Glynn County, in said State and known as a part of that portion of Bonaventure plantation formerly sold to Aaron Hill by the party of the first part and bounded as follows, to wit: on the North by the public road leading to Bethel, on South by the land of Aaron Hill on the East by Aaron Hill's land containing one hundred acres of land. For a more accurate description of said tract of land reference is hereby had to plat of the same made by E.A. Penniman Surveyor 2nd October 1874 which is hereby made a part of this deed and said plat is hereby attached as a part of the same. To have and to hold said described tract of land together with all and singular the rights and members & appurtenances thereto belonging or tenants in common unto the said parties of the second part the said Andrew Lamar and Richard Pinkney, his heirs and assigns forever in fee simple. And the said party of the first part as attorney in fact for his children named as aforesaid and as their Guardian doth hereby warrant and will ever defend the right
and title of the above conveyed property unto the said parties of the second part their heirs and assigns against the claims of himself and all persons whatsoever.
In testimony whereof the party of the second part has hereunto set his hand and seal this the day first above written.
